Julimar Area (Toodyay) Now Under Threat

Check out the Toodyay Herald by clicking here.

Up until now the threat of low margin low quality bauxite strip mining has been focused on the areas of Morangup, Wundowie and Wooroloo with a proposed mine life of some 25 years being spruiked by the mining proponents, if and when approvals are ever granted to mine here.

Add a couple of other tenements in the Julimar area also owned by BRL, which they will no doubt try to turn into a resource by conducting further exploration, and the Toodyay Shire COULD be known as the bauxite mining capital of the Avon Valley and mining could be here for decades to come.
