Email from a concerned 12 year old child!!!

Dear AHMAG, 

I've seen some of your protestors in town, and I know them now as nice folks. I've seen the signs, and they are friendly people. I have some information that I think you would like to know about BAJV regarding the bauxite mining. Bauxite is the world's main source of alumina, which is turned into aluminium. Except there is a red, muddy substance left over, and scientists are baffled and can't work out whether it's poisonous or not and if it's useful or not. I am completely with you about the bauxite mining and I understand that BAJV is feeding the community lies. 

I heard that the mining would give many people jobs and raise house prices, but it's not true. 80% of the workers will just be Chinese. Not Australian. They're lying to us and they've started without the shire of Toodyay, Morangup, and some other towns' permission. 

Morangup residents claim that their shire deliberately kept them in the dark about 'open-cut bauxite mining in their backyards' and I agree with them. They probably were kept in the dark about the mining. I don't believe the lies being fed to us all, and I'm sure you don't either. I've been collecting newspaper articles and doing research and I'm confident I've gotten plenty of research, but there's always room for more. Just so you know, I'm 12. I know what you're thinking. But I'm a very inquisitive, interesting person. I really do care about the mining, and I don't want it here, and I'm sure everyone else doesn't.
